We Did Not Stand Alone

In Sierra Leone, West Africa, war raged from 1989 to 2002. Civilians were numbered among many of the casualties, causing many to lose family members during the war. It disrupted the people's daily lives so that many could not get enough food to eat—not even one meal a day. The people of Sierra Leone felt abandoned during this terrible time. In order to help, LDS Charities provided food, hygiene kits, clothing, and blankets. Life began to have meaning again. Hope was restored through the support of others’ time and efforts that made everything possible.
